Rock on the Range 2012

Another year, another Rock on the Range that helps me check things off of the bucket list. I’m happy to be able to do the things I love. While I wish that WE were playing again, the next best thing is going any way.

I’m lucky to be able to catch up with so many old friends this past weekend. Also, a big shout out to the Tune Lab members I was able to meet face to face.

Enjoy…

Brian Klein, Fitz & the Tantrums – Hard Work and Luck

I recently watched an interview of Brian Klein, manager of Fitz & the Tantrums on This Week in Music. He discusses the touring schedule for Fitz – Morning shows, record shop appearances, and and additional radio promo spot – all before the show most days. I have to wonder just how many bands do the same. Surely some, but I’m not sure that the majority would go to such great lengths. I’m thoroughly impressed by what they’ve been able to do, most of it without much outside assistance.

Changes are a coming

This is just a quick heads up to everyone that I plan to expand this blog outside of SEO and development based topics in the near future. I’ve been spending more and more time working on new strategies for up and coming media (read: bands), and lessons learned with marketing and management. You may even catch a concert photo or two as the tour continues on. This feels like a natural extension from where I’m at currently, and will hopefully also help make posts more frequent.
